This adaptation of our aerator produces a fountain-like water stream, providing a visually pleasing effect while supplying substantial water flow and high oxygen transfer. This unit is designed for use in areas where the appearance of the pond or lake is as important as the need for efficient aeration. The pattern produced is comparable to many of the larger fountain units on the market but uses less than half the electric power. The high volume spray resists misting and icing.

Pond Aerators

Aerators provide the mechanical desertification of water to elevate oxygen transfer rates and sustain the level of dissolved oxygen to maximize aquatic life.

Environmental factors such as time of day and water depth of water can create the lack of photosynthesis necessary for a productive oxygen level. Warm weather trends and cold rains offer further destabilizing conditions.

Water sources can contain dangerous levels of nitrogen, carbon dioxide or hydrogen sulfide that damage pond water quality. Rain water may absorb plant or crop fertilizers which consume dissolved oxygen at a high rate. Excessive debris, feed waste, decomposing leaves and animal fecal matter further break down dissolved oxygen levels.

Our aerators are specifically designed to provide excellent oxygen transfer rates while creating good water circulation with little or no turbidity. Many of our aerators are successfully at work in hatcheries, fish culture ponds, research stations, fresh and salt-water applications. In addition, aerators offer the added cost saving benefit of lateral feed distribution and the ability to suspend feed for a longer lasting feed column.

Dock De-icers

Dock De-icer is designed to prevent ice from forming around boats, marinas, docks, and piers as well as effectively melting existing ice by breaking the surface with a continuous current of warmer bottom water.

The dock de-icer's propeller draws up warmer subsurface water and deflects it to the surface creating a constant circulation of warmer water that prevents ice formation. The dock de-icer will melt existing ice. Unlike other de-icing units, the dock de-icer requires no additional hardware in order to obtain the desired de-icing pattern. The dock de-icer is shipped complete with suspension lines. It can be taken out of the box, hung in place and plugged in. It may be hung from a pier or boat. Two to three feet is the average operating depth.

DESIGN FEATURES:
The design of the dock de-icer's venturi shroud (housing) with outwardly flared ends draws warmer water from greater depths than other conventional de-icers.

The shroud is submersible below the surface either vertically or angled from vertical. A set of mounting holes at opposed positions on the flange allows the lines to be attached.
